Vaikom Mahadeva Temple is one of the oldest and most revered Shiva shrines in Kerala, part of a sacred trio with Ettumanoor and Kaduthuruthy. It is celebrated for Vaikathashtami and for its grand Annadanam (Prathal).

Dress code
Traditional attire. Men: mundu (bare-chested in the sanctum where required). Women: saree, set-mundu or salwar.

Only Hindus are permitted inside the sanctum. Photography is prohibited inside the temple.
